Default Positive Results Come In Time

I have adopted my son, it has been 5yrs now, and he will soon be 7yrs old soon. It was a very good experience and the process went rather quickly. I am in the process of adopting again and been told not to expect the same experience I had before. In other words, the process might be quite timely now. I do expect the same experience, no matter what I've been told. For those who are stressing out, keep your heads up and keep pushing for what you need to expedite the process. You may have do a lot of your own legwork.

Default Adoption is

Oops hit the wrong button the title was supposed to be Adoption is Wonderful!!!!!

I have adopted 4 special needs children, one of them I found on California Kids Connection. I couldn't be happier that I chose to adopt, it has been a great experience one that I would do over in a heartbeat. In fact would still love another little boy.

Default Busy mom

If you like to stay busy adopting children with special needs is very rewarding. We adopted 2 children from foster care, a son with autism, a daughter with mental retardation and heart defects and we have guardianship of a sweet little boy with severe cerebral palsy. My advice is: go in to special needs adoption understanding that no matter how much help and support agencies, friends, and family promise or offer it is never enough. You won't be able to depend on anyone. Only you will love them enough to make sure all their needs are met. You have to be able to dedicate your life to these kids if you are not able to the children will suffer. Ultimately you will be blessed beyond words. Some of these children will be your "babies" for ever. Tamirae

Thanks tamirae,
True words indeed. You are obviously one of the heroes that the kids need so desparately.
